- Having just recovered from a pretty nasty cold that lingered for about three weeks, I can say most emphatically that I can't afford to stay home. At my (new) job, sick time accrues at a snail's pace, so even though I've been there almost five months, I only have a couple of HOURS accrued.

- I'll never give up Toyota. Domestic built automobiles are s**t. My 11-year-old Corolla has lasted twice as long as both of the Chevys I previously owned, both of which were the shoddiest craftsmanship I've ever seen. I need a good vehicle that actually runs and gets great gas mileage.

- My elderly parents are on a fixed income and they have 29 grandchildren (by my siblings - I'm childfree). They decided several years ago to forego buying presents for the grandkids and spend what money they could on a couple of needy children.

- My parents put me in swim lessons when I was 18 months old, in 1967. Word has it my grandparents were horrified because it just wasn't done back then. I'm still an excellent swimmer today.

- Part 2 has my all-time favorite scene of any movie ever made and that is Michael and Fredo meeting at Mama Corleone's funeral. They embrace and Michael looks over Fredo's head at Al Neri. Volumes are spoken in that one silent scene. Beautiful. Godfather 3, however...that was awful.

- I'm the one that works, thank you very much, while he "works from home", ie: plays X-Box all day. And I'm a size 4, so suck it.
